Update since October

I obviousy have not added to this blog recently. That is because I have been busy working on y trilogy of historical novels about a missionary family in China circa 1900to 1985. They are almost finiahed and ready for publication.

The first is entitled Harvest of Hunger and deals with trials and tribulations associated with the North China famine of 1920. It includes bandits and a hostage crisis. The second one is entitled Fortune’s Retrieval. This one picks up the struggles of members of the Sutherland family from 1937 to 1945 surviving the Sino-Japanese war and becoming enemy aliens after Pearl Harbor. The last one takes up the saga when a grandchild of the famiy returns to China in 1985 looking for any traces of his family’s legacy and finds more than his past. It is entitled Pursuing Shadows.

I hope they will be read and enjoyed.

I’ve nearly finished preparing my trilogy of books about an American family in China during the 20th century for publication. I am not trying to organize a…
